Oscar

German Shepherd Dog, Perro De Presa Canario | 0 years old

Description

This is my beautiful boy Oscar he is 9 months old and the most special boy, I bought him from a breeder at 3 months old and sadly she didn't look after him very well and has resulted in him having severe anxiety around people, he currently lives with myself and my partner and our autistic 4 year old boy and is absolutely great with him. We've had to make the decision to rehome as my little boy is struggling having such a big energetic dog. Oscar loves his natural treats like bones and pigs ears and he eats 2 rolls of raw dog meat a day for his food, he loves playing with rag toys but will destroy small ones in seconds, he is crate trained and OK to be left for short periods of time, he knows how to sit and wait until he gets the command to eat he knows how to give paw and spin round. He is the most loyal boy and I'm so sad to be having to rehome him, he is scared of people and has to be muzzled on walks as he will bark and growl when people go past. He needs to be walked late at night or early in the morning when it's quiet so he doesn't get as anxious. It can be a struggle to get him out of the house as he pulls back due to anxiety, inside the home he is brilliant he loves having a shower but isn't a fan of having his nails cut. I would say he needs to go to a home with no children and someone who can put a lot of time into him as he needs a lot of reassurance and love but overall he has become my best friend and I'm heartbroken about this decision but it's for the best that my boy gets the life he deserves.
